Terms of Service — Vanilla Vouchers

Last updated: 1 September 2026 · Vanilla Telecoms Ltd, Malta

The service

Vanilla Vouchers adds restricted gift vouchers to your Shopify store: vouchers that can be limited to chosen brands, collections, tags or products, earned by rules you set or issued by hand, delivered by email and stored in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.

How vouchers work

Each voucher is a unique discount code in your store, backed by a balance that this app keeps. Shopify applies the discount at checkout; the app records the amount used and updates the remaining balance. Vouchers are a promotional discount, not a payment method or a Shopify gift card, and you remain responsible for how they are described to your customers and for any applicable consumer law.

Plans and allowances

Each plan includes a monthly number of vouchers that can be issued. Past that allowance, issuing pauses until the next calendar month (UTC) or an upgrade; existing vouchers keep working. Paid plans are billed through Shopify and can be changed or cancelled at any time. Uninstalling the app ends the subscription.

Wallet passes

Apple Wallet passes are signed with Vanilla Telecoms Ltd's Apple pass certificate and Google Wallet passes are issued under Vanilla Telecoms Ltd's Google Wallet issuer account, on your behalf and with your branding. By enabling passes you authorise us to issue them for your store. Each pass states that it was issued by Vanilla Vouchers on behalf of your store.

Your responsibilities

Availability and liability

We aim for continuous service but do not guarantee it. Vanilla Telecoms Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost sales or the value of vouchers, arising from use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the preceding three months.
